In its just-released 2018 Housing Market Outlook Report, RE/MAX stated that while the average sale price increase across Canada would be only a moderate 2.5% in 2018, intensified demand will drastically pump up costs in outskirt areas.
“In order to find a balance between the home features they’re looking for and affordability, many buyers are continuing to look at real estate markets outside of the country’s largest urban centres,” the RE/MAX report said.
